Meet Ben

Ben Connor resides in the Northshore neighborhood of Chattanooga with his wife, Dr. Shae Connor, and their four daughters, Mabry (8) and Nola (6) who are Hamilton County students at Normal Park; and Ila Ruth (3) and Josie (1.5) who both attend Northside Learning Center.

Ben was born in Chattanooga and graduated from King University before moving back to the Scenic City in 2018. After college, Ben worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry, where he developed a keen sense of how to create community and foster new friendships. He plans to use these skills to bring people of differing opinions together to support our public schools.

Ben also volunteers in several different roles at his children’s schools, including as the basketball coach and room parent each year. He sits on the Normal Park SPARK board where he acts as the chair of the annual NormalPalooza festival. At Northside Learning Center, Ben is the Chair of the Board of Directors, a room parent and a member of the parents council.

Outside of school, Ben works as the Philanthropic Coordinator and a board member for the Women’s Oncology Foundation of Greater Chattanooga and the chair of the Women’s Oncology Warriors (WOW Chatt) Concert Series each year.
